Roambee at LogiChem Europe Supply Chain Conference 2022
29th-31st March 2022 | De Doelen Convention Centre, Rotterdam, Netherlands
Logichem was held 29th–31st March in the De Doelen convention centre, in Rotterdam Netherlands. It was a luxurious venue, with a full glass paned exhibition hall and impressive auditorium. Over 300 people attended this event over the three days, a good balance of solution providers and top 100 chemical companies in Europe.
All the food was served in the exhibition hall, the auditorium and breakout rooms all exited into the exhibition hall, there was also evening drinks put on for the first 2 days, all of this made networking much easier.
The agenda was full top to bottom, starting at 8am every day and finishing at 5pm. A plethora of leading chemical companies showcased their supply chain challenges and how they are working to overcome them. The breakout sessions offered a great opportunity to interact and understand strategies in more detail. The content was weighted mostly to supply chain visibility, sustainability and governing bodies. The companies presented their project/s with case study/s.
It was clear from networking, the chemical industry is aware and knowledgeable of the supply chain visibility solutions out there, however they were not up to date with the current level of technology and the value it could bring to their company. This is when we must educate companies to take them on a journey to discover the hidden opportunities in their supply chain.
To make this event even better, I feel there needs to be more of a focus on topics that educate the audience, for example about the different types of supply chain visibility solutions out there, instead of only showcasing what each company is doing. Also, it seemed like WBR took on a lot of paid speaking slots, this created repetitive subjects over the three days. Final verdict, we would attend this event again, the event engaged a focused audience and high-level insight into how top 100 chemical companies are combating their supply chain challenges.
