H1 2024 CEO Newsletter

Hello Everyone,

As we step into the second half of 2024, the past six months were marked by important milestones and achievements. I’m proud to recount these strategic initiatives and achievements.

We’ve made significant strides in transforming supply chain visibility for global enterprises with the launch of the world-first 5G Smart Label, a game-changer for unified & sustainable visibility. Our commitment to quality has been recognized with an ISO 9001:2015 certification, underlining our dedication to end-to-end supply chain operational excellence.

Furthermore, we’ve welcomed 31 new engagements with enterprise customers and launched The Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI) Lab, a forum of industry experts and leaders dedicated to innovation toward autonomous supply chains.

More Global 2000 Enterprises Chose Roambee for Supply Chain Visibility

A KPMG report on 2024 supply chain trends highlights a pivotal shift towards digital mastery, with 50% of supply chain organizations intensifying their investment in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and analytics capabilities.

At Roambee, we have been ahead of the curve, integrating advanced predictive analytics and AI-driven insights to empower Global 2000 enterprises with smarter visibility and decision-making capabilities.

In the first half of 2024, we onboarded 31 new enterprise engagements, of which many were with Fortune Global 2000 companies.

Our actionable predictive analytics that go beyond the available carrier-aggregated visibility and sensor-based visibility providers is the key differentiator in how enterprises meet their efficiency and ESG goals.

Introducing the Smart 5G Label: A Pivotal Milestone Toward a Unified Visibility Platform

Roambee's Smart 5G Label

I am thrilled to announce our most groundbreaking development this year: the launch of the industry’s first 5G Smart Label. This innovative smart label utilizes advanced 5G, GPS, and sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, shock, and light for single-journey shipments.

The label comes ready to use with the simplicity of a barcode experience. Just peel to activate the label; it requires no buttons, and ensures activation every time, unlike many other trackers that often go un-activated.

The Smart 5G Label and AI-powered intelligence mark a shift towards bringing high-quality data into Roambee’s unified visibility platform, launched in 2023, at an unprecedented scale and without operational restrictions. Our clients, including a major multinational luxury retail firm and a leading electronics company, are already leveraging our platform for both sensor and non-sensor shipments to successful outcomes.

To know more about the smart label, please refer to our press release here.

What Makes the Smart Label the World’s Most Sustainable Supply Chain Solution

This innovation is particularly timely, given that only 5% of supply chain emissions stem from direct manufacturing, while emissions originating within the supply chain can be 5 to 10 times greater – as per data from the World Econonic Forum. Our Smart 5G Label directly addresses this challenge, providing a tool for companies to tangibly monitor and incrementally reduce their Scope 3 emissions.

Use Cases of Some Smart Label Early Adopters

  1. B2B Project Site Deliveries: Prompt post-delivery service initiation for a large renewable energy components manufacturer, allowing immediate revenue recognition.
  2. B2C New Product Launches: Newly launched luxury retail products to stores, fashion shows, sports venues, and exhibitions for timely and safe delivery.
  3. B2B2C Distribution: A chocolatier & an electronics major are now ensuring consistent supply chain third-party stockists, remote distributors, or stores.
  4. Less Than Truckload (LTL) Delivery: LTL shippers such as automotive parts, consumer products, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals are using Roambee for third-party stores or forward warehouses.

We’re pleased to enroll your enterprise into this innovative early adopter program.

We are proud to announce that we received the ISO 9001:2015 certification. This milestone is not just about adhering to international standards but is a promise of our unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

The Launch of SCI Lab – A Sounding Board for Innovation in Autonomous Supply Chains

Roambee-SCI-Lab

The first half of 2024 also saw the launch of The Supply Chain Intelligence Lab (The SCI Lab), a forum of experts and leading voices across top global enterprises.

We have 16 members from 15 Global Top 25 companies across pharmaceutical, chemical, consumer & heavy electronics, food and beverage, automotive, consumer goods and logistics. Top majors include Siemens, Lenovo, Kuehne + Nagel, and Yamato Transport. Our approach is simple yet powerful: one lab per quarter, focusing on member-voted critical topics that are driving the industry towards an autonomous supply chain future.

In our inaugural quarter, this forum of industry experts tackled the fundamental question: “How is the Industry Solving Supply Chain Visibility in 2024?” This session delved deep into architecting 100% supply chain coverage by unifying sensor and non-sensor milestones – a challenge that has long plagued our industry. Our second quarter focused on “Comparing Today’s Control Tower with Tomorrow’s Tech Advancements.” Here, we navigated the future of control towers, discussing Roambee’s pivotal role in next-generation solutions and how the VWT (Virtual Watch Tower) community, is working on creating a single platform for companies to share situational and contextual data to bring more credibility to the future effectiveness of control towers.

What’s becoming increasingly clear through these discussions is that there is a significant emphasis by global enterprises on investing in multi-point solutions and breaking down data silos in today’s complex global supply chains.

Looking Ahead

As we continue our journey in 2024, our focus remains on breaking down data silos and consolidating multi-point solutions in supply chains, continued investment in advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to serve global enterprises that demand high-quality, sustainable supply chain visibility solutions.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership on this journey that’s been nothing short of exhilarating for us all at Roambee.

Warm regards,

Sanjay Sharma
