The rules engine APIs facilitate interactions between "Things" and various business processes. An important property of our rules engine is chaining – where the action part of one rule changes the state of the system in such a way that it alters the value of the condition part of other rules. For example, if it is smart logistics application, one can build a rule with the condition that – "Shipments should always be transported using highways between dawn and dusk with no unscheduled stops. The user should be notified instantly between business hours and daily digest sent of all alerts during non-business hours."
