Roambee at International Pack Expo in USA

23rd-26th October | McCormick Place, Chicago

The International Pack Expo was held at McCormick Place in Chicago, 23rd-26th October. The 4 days were spread over 4 giant exhibition halls with 6 pavilions.

Roambee had an exhibition booth and 2 speaking sessions in the ‘Reusable Packaging Pavillion’. My first comment would be on the cost of event, the cost of exhibiting and speaking was much more affordable compared to most other exhibitions. On average, exhibition stands cost $15k+, however the cost was a third of this, and speaking sessions will average at $20k+, the cost was an eighth of this. Very fair and affordable.

The event drew in 44,000 attendees. The first and last day were quiet, whilst the middle 2 days were very busy. Even though some days had less traffic, quality leads flowed to our stand. 80% of the people who came up to our stand had a problem we could solve. This enabled us to have deeper conversations with the attendees.

One downside of the event: most of the people we met were not decision makers (Heads of Supply Chain & Logistics).

The content of the agenda for the ‘Reusable Packaging Pavillion’, was focused on the enablement of technology that helps the reusable packaging industry. For our keynote speaking and panel session we presented the impact Roambee and sensor driven visibility is having on the reusable packaging industry.

Roambee Panel Featuring: Roambee, Wiliot, Paxxal, Qualcomm, Reusable Packaging Association

A key learning that I took away from this event was that the reusable packaging industry is ready to adopt new technology to improve their supply chain.

In conclusion, if you have an invested interest in the reusable packaging industry, I would recommend this event. It is affordable and gets your company in front of high value prospects who have a need for your solution.
